Purpose Point Learning Academy (PPLA) is a development-focused early-learning program that provides children ages 6 weeks to 12 years with a nurturing, safe, and positive environment.

Meet our Executive Director

Ellwanda White

A woman of Faith, devoted to family, detail oriented, firm, a leader, always willing to help and a great listener! Those are words her friends and peers use to describe her. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She served as Field Supervisor for Child and Adult Care Licensing prior to accepting the position of Director. She is compassionate about children and has been an advocate for them since she was a young girl. She has previous experience working with abused children and children in the foster care system. She describes herself as being a person “in service to others” and believes she was placed on earth to help serve others. Ellwanda has been married to Vincent White for 33 years and she is the proud mother of Lakeysha, Martinez, Vincent II, and Vinesha and the loving grandmother of Janaira, James and Noah. She has served in positions within the church as Youth Director, and Director of Christian Education. She is a member of the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA) and the Chattanooga Association for Children’s Early Education (ChACEE) and has previously served on the TECTA Advisory and ChACEE Board. Ellwanda is looking forward to impacting the lives of the children and families Purpose Point will serve.
